We also have a Hot Tub available for use (The hot tub may not be up to full temperature at the time of your arrival. The owner will do his utmost to ensure that it is ready however, due to the maintenance required during each changeover, there is a chance it may not be.)

The Railway is the nearest eatery from the Hillside barn Just 2 miles in the village of Lindale, a small family run pub offers excellent home cooked food in a cosy comfortable atmosphere.
Ulverston Town has a wider variety of restaurants and cafes, and takeaways. But to name a few off the popular places previous guests have liked.
The Farmers Arms, vibrant and busy meeting place great town centre pub and eatery. Booking for meals is essential in this every popular pub.
Out and about
The Hillside Barn is just 2 miles from Southlake’s larges tourist attraction South Lakeland Zoo. Close by is Haverthwaite Railway and Lakeland Motor Museum (9.5 miles), The Dock Museum Barrow (9 miles), Ravenglass and Muncaster Castle (22 miles).
Juat a short scenic drive away is Grange Over-Sands. Kendal is approximately 20 miles away, great for shopping.
There are plenty of walks from the doorstep and a short drive to Grisedale Forest Park for cycling, sculptures & Go Ape.
Easy access to The Lakes.
Just a 20 min car journey to Bowness-on-Windermere which has become a tourist honeypot. Coniston and Windermere are just a 15 minute car journey away. A golden sandy beach with dunes can be found approximately 8 miles away at Rhoan Head, on the Duddon Estuary.

Close by (2.5 miles) is Dalton Village with a larger Co-op, bakery post office and small shops.
An 8 mile drive in to Barrow-in-Furness where you can find Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi and an array of various shops.
